    Position Summary

    JOB SUMMARY:  Nexstar Digital, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for the planning process, management reporting and analysis for all digital business units.  The Director will manage a team of financial analysts, lead the reporting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the organization, and serve as a valued and trusted advisor to senior leadership.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of Financial Analysts by providing financial leadership and analytical support
    • Develop and implement FP&A best practices, procedures and processes to drive best in class forecast & planning, business insight and analysis to support key members of the senior leadership team
    • Drive financial analyses to evaluate the company's operational and strategic decisions
    • Direct preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual company financial performance reporting and analysis
    • Drive the development of presentations and analyses for Board of Director presentations
    • Lead annual and multi-year financial strategic planning
    • Monitor and report on the momentum of the business against forecast and against plan
    • Oversee analysis for strategic decisions with regards to new business models, strategic partnerships, as well as the preparation of business analyses, trending analysis, and other ad-hoc projects as needed

    • Extensive experience developing and monitoring operating and capital budgets and creating insightful, actionable reporting and measurement systems.
    • Proven project management experience in driving the execution of initiatives and managing change.
    • Contemporary knowledge of finance best practices and of how to exploit technology to enable productivity and collaboration.
    • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
    • A “can-do” team player that is passionate about the business and has a strong desire to continuously improve performance and service.
    • A leader with excellent interpersonal and communications skills who can quickly build rapport, establish trust and develop effective working relationships.
    • A team builder and coach who can effectively mentor and develop staff.

     

    Education/ExperienceMBA and/or CPA preferred. Minimum  of 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or related function, 2+ of which is in a managerial capacity. Broadcasting or media industry experience preferred.

     

    Training/EquipmentProficient in Microsoft Office desktop applications

     

    Work Environment/Mental/Physical RequirementsHigh stress office environment with deadline pressures.  Position will require day-to-day multi-tasking, and well as managing multiple projects simultaneously with frequent change in direction and priority.
