    Position Summary

     

    KRQE-TV 13/Fox New Mexico Albuquerque, NM Market seeks a Digital Account Executive. This position will be responsible for aggressively pursuing digital media ad sales with local direct clients and with traditional advertising agencies. This individual will sell all digital properties including display, mobile, social media, SEO/SEM, as well as products associated with krqe.com, including sponsorships.  They will be on top of shifting media trends, present themselves as a digital leader in the market and be well versed as to how the web is impacting marketplaces and companies' business models. They will demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate effectively internally and externally.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Requirements & Skills:

    • Proactively prospect, qualify, grow and maintain an account list 
    • Track record of developing long-term relationships with (and commitments from) major clients and agencies
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals 
    • Ability to develop proposals, sales materials and respond to client information requests
    • Monitor current digital campaigns and develop and evaluate delivery 
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of available advertising programs, site information and resources
    • Ability to execute in an organization through collaboration and a consultative process
    • Excellent follow-up, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Dedicated and driven work ethic, excellent writing, presentation, communication and networking skills 
    • Able to identify and create unique sales properties and promotions 
    • Analyze competitive (local & national) online media marketplace 
    • Industry and ad agency contacts a big advantage 
    • The successful candidate must enjoy problem solving and be unafraid of technical solutions
    • Social Media participant, a plus
    • Ability to manage account receivables for your book of business
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to become proficient on in-house sales systems
    • Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

     

    Experience:

    • 2+ Years of Sales experience is required
    • Digital or Media Sales is highly preferred 

     

     

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    The Digital Account Executive must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work near others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
