    JOB SUMMARY:  Nexstar Digital is looking for a Shared Services Manager to oversee the Accounts Receivable/Collections and Accounts Payable processes.  This position reports directly to the Controller.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manages processing of all customer invoices, ensures timely collection of payments and supervises Accounts Receivable team.
    • Oversees the collection efforts for all reporting units by following the Collections Policy, including calls to customers, sending demand letters, turning accounts over to outside collections agency
    • Conducts credit checks
    • Negotiates with customers in non-payment cases
    • Manages cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly and timely, including reconciliation to the GL
    • Weekly reporting of aging totals, including status of collections
    • Supports Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams on a daily basis and trains new team members
    • Manages accounts payable team handling all vendor invoice entry and vendor payments.
    • Manages company-vendor relations.
    • Develops, implements and maintains systems, policies and procedures related to accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to federal/state tax reporting and Company guidelines.
    • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information related to Accounts Payable.
    • Functions as a self-starter and a problem solver
    • Other duties and projects as assigned by Controller

    Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
    • Must have large ERP system experience
    • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
    • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, customers, and upper management
    • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
    • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work

    Education/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in business management, accounting, finance, or related field preferred; Minimum 5 years of accounts receivable and/or accounts payable experience and at least 5 years of leadership experience.
