    Position Summary

    JOB SUMMARY:  The Manager, Media Strategy position requires a highly motivated, entrepreneurial leader to manage the day to day duties of the Media Strategy team overseeing the strategy and planning of all media plans for sales, while managing overall business profitability through pricing. The ideal candidate is team oriented and thrives working on a closely-knit team. They consider themselves a strong planner with the ability to strategically develop & defend well thought out media plans, always with a focus on client’s needs and business objectives.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Review and oversee all media plans for accuracy, pricing and margin.
    • Efficiently and effectively analyze complex data sets to inform media recommendations.
    • Contribute to pricing strategy and product positioning for new and existing media offerings.
    • Assist in the curation and evaluation of media offerings for existing product suite.
    • Frequently engage with sales to maintain ongoing communications and address areas of concerns.
    • Develop digital media solutions that are consistent with customer objectives and overall business goals.
    • Effectively develop solutions that will arm the sales team with the most competitive media offering in the marketplace.
    • Monitor direct competitor offerings and pricing to ensure NXD is continuing to innovate and offer best-in-class solutions for our advertisers.

      Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Knowledge of digital media channels such as Display, Video, Social and Search as well as exhibiting subject matter expertise in most of these areas.
    • Proficiency leading and managing a team.
    • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
    • Strong mathematic and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Demonstrate a healthy understanding of digital best practices and the ability to communicate effectively with both digital and non-digital professionals.
    • Proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results.
    • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
    • Familiarity with DSPs, SSPs DMPs, Mobile innovations, data and analytics, etc.
    • Bachelor’s Degree; minimum 4+ years of digital media planning/buying and/or Sales Planning experience.
    • Agency experience a plus.

    Education/Experience:  :  BS/BA (minimum) from an accredited four-year university, 5+ years of media planning experience with 1-2 years of managing direct reports. 


    Training/EquipmentProficient in Microsoft Office desktop applications, Comscore, Doubleclick, DSP Technologies, eMarketer


    Work Environment/Mental/Physical RequirementsFast-paced office environment with deadlines.  Successful candidates are comfortable with day-to-day multi-tasking, as well as managing multiple projects simultaneously with frequent change in direction and priority. After all, it is digital.
