    Position Summary

    The VP of Digital Ad Ops will be a senior member of the team working closely with existing management to plan and implement an appropriate infrastructure to support the execution of all
    digital revenue and inventory management across the family of Nexstar properties. In addition to advancing all technical aspects of the ad ops, the right candidate will ensure best in class delivery on all digital advertising campaigns and fulfillment goals. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Nexstar Digital Revenue, this person will be a key and
    strategically important role that leads the overall post-sale execution of services and client experience. You will be responsible for creating and executing operational strategies that align with
    Nexstar’s goals, streamlines processes across the operations, fosters long-term partnership with internal and external stakeholders, and drives the organization’s financial and customer service goals.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a cohesive ad serving infrastructure
    • As a seasoned executive and subject matter expert, stay abreast of industry issues, trends and ad serving solutions to suggest improvements or new ad products for Nexstar Digital and its internal business partners
    • Identify new data sources and strategy for staying one step ahead of the competition
    • Prepare research, communication materials and presentations for the senior leadership team across Nexstar Digital and the Nexstar Media Group team
    • Evaluate current operations processes against industry best practices and identify and execute against strategies to improve operational workflow
      • Troubleshoot issues ranging from malfunctioning ad creative materials, click-through URLs, ad or tag issues, and landing pages to custom executions, under/over-delivery issues, order management and implementation challenges
      • Works with platform partners to test ad tags, traffic, and implement programmatic partnerships
      • Identify opportunities to improve ad performance, execute through rigorous and ongoing optimization
      • Facilitate and run recurring meetings that review status of all campaigns to ensure optimal monetization and execution
    • Manage Nexstar Digital’s ad server and other relevant ad platforms and technologies
    • Collaborate with internal teams on ad serving improvement recommendations
    • Partner with finance and internal audit to ensure streamlined processes and proper controls
    • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable team to close out monthly billing and resolve monthly and ongoing invoicing queries
    • Manages programmatic partnership documentation, SOP and strategy communications 

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 8 years of experience in a Digital advertising operations
    • Extensive experience with Google Ad Manager
    • Experience with programmatic platforms preferred
    • Must have a strong customer focus and convey responsiveness and competence when dealing with internal and external partners
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
    • Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities based upon internal Nexstar needs and dynamic industry best practices
    • Strong decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent project-management and time-management skills
    • Proven ability to work well independently as well as collaborate within a team environment
    • In depth understanding of all stages of customer acquisition, conversion, and lifetime value
    • Solid technology experience, familiarity with the broadcast industry, and demonstratable thought leadership in the Ad Operations sector are important experience factors for the right candidate
